Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an acute Medical Surgical Telemetry unit with a 36-bed capacity
- Independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Maintain patient ratios of generally 1:4 or 1:5
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective communication and continuity of care
- Uphold a strong commitment to patient safety and an exceptional patient experience
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in Medical Surgical nursing
- Strong telemetry skills with the ability to independently read and interpret rhythm strips
- Must pass a telemetry competency test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or better
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Travel nursing experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
- Prior travel nursing assignments highly preferred
