Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a large, urban hospital required License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, CPI, NIH preferred Must-Have: - 2 years of prior Telemetry experience required - Epic charting experience required - Must be prepared to float frequently to meet staffing needs Description: This position offers options for 36 or 48 hours per week and contract lengths of 13 or 26 weeks. RNs must be prepared to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the facility. Ratios are generally 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, though night ratios can occasionally reach 1:7. The unit is a 20-bed general medical surgical and telemetry unit, as well as for orthopedic patients. Some patient cases may include total knee and hip replacements, complex orthopedic cases, pulmonary issues, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses. RNs are assigned patients for weekly assessments, vital checks, labs, etc., with support from care technicians and other clinicians. 100% nicotine-free facility. Weekends will require 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period. Travelers must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Locals are not eligible; candidates must be more than 100 miles from the facility. Covid-19 vaccination is required, with medical or religious exemptions only. The facility maintains certain staffing and operational standards for patient care and teamwork, with interdisciplinary support teams involved. Travelers are expected to provide high-quality nursing care in a supportive, collaborative environment. Flu vaccinations are not required.
