Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of prior experience required License: Must have valid nursing license Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, NIH, CPI preferred Must-Have: - Experience in a large urban hospital - Epic charting experience - Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs - Experience managing drips Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a medical surgical/telemetry unit. The unit has a focus on the care of the medical surgical/telemetry population with an emphasis on the orthopedic patient population. Additional specialties include surgical oncology, general surgery, GYN surgery, and OMFS. The nurse will be responsible for telemetry monitoring. Ratios are generally 1:5 days and 1:6 nights, with the possibility of 1:7 ratios at night in rare cases. Nurses must float frequently to meet staffing needs. Travelers must be prepared to work weekends, with 4 weekend shifts required in a 4-week period. Additionally, travelers are required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Candidates must be more than 100 miles from the facility. RTO requests must be submitted with the application. This is a 100% nicotine-free facility. Travelers must meet compliance requirements prior to starting.
