Candidates are expected to start as soon as possible. Weekly orientation is provided. Shorter contracts are accepted, and a preference is given for 24 weeks. The unit cares for patients with infectious diseases, hospice/palliative care, oncology, cardiac acute care, post-surgical procedures, bariatric, urology, neurology, and orthopedics. Nurses are required to float to a sister facility. Candidates must be agreeable to floating to a location that is a 25-minute away. The role requires working 12 weekend shifts per contract with coverage every other weekend. Interdisciplinary support includes various essential services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Patients on the unit may be telemetry monitored remotely. The unit size varies between 8 to 39 beds depending on the specific needs.
