Job Title: Clinical Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years current Intermediate/Step Down experience License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) Must-Have: Competence in caring for patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care. Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs for self. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs. Uses patient education materials relevant to the patient population. Assesses readiness to learn of the patient, family, and caregivers. Evaluates expected patient outcomes and seeks guidance as needed in revising the plan of care. Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care. Demonstrates competence in the care of patients with complex problems. Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required for the patient care plan.
