Job Title: Clinical Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 48 Experience: Minimum of 2 years current Intermediate/Step Down experience. License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. Must-Have: - Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing. Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reports and is accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director. Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs. Uses patient education materials relevant to patient population with assistance. Assesses readiness to learn of the patient, family, and caregivers. Assesses developmental level of patient and factors affecting ability to learn. Identifies expected patient outcomes and seeks guidance in the revision of plan of care. Participates in discussions with the interdisciplinary team to evaluate patient care. Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care. Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects.
