Job Title: Medical Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years travel experience required License: Compact license or state license must be in hand prior to start Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH required Must-Have: Med/Surg experience required Description: We are seeking a Medical Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse. This position operates on a night shift schedule. Nurses will work 4 shifts of 12 hours each week. Patient ratios will be 1:6 to 1:7. Every other weekend will be required. Floating between like units with similar patient types may be necessary. Candidates must have experience in telemetry and the ability to interpret dysrhythmias. Experience in the management of dysrhythmias is also preferred. All assigned modules must be completed prior to the start date. Attendance at staff meetings is required. Travelers should note that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. The facility may call off one shift every two weeks. After two call-outs without a documented medical reason, a contract may be canceled. Local candidates will be considered but will receive compensation at a reduced rate.
