Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Profession: RN Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification required Must-Have: Cerner and Epic EMR experience required Telemetry strip self-study required before acceptance Basic dysrhythmia test must be passed during the first week of assignment Description: This position provides support for the unit during preparations for an EMR go-live. Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinates care with other health team members. Interacts effectively with patients and significant others while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high-quality care to diverse patient populations, including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry. Travelers will not be part of a regular call rotation but may be placed on call during low census periods. If called in, travelers are expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Telemetry ratios will vary by day and night shifts. Floating to various units, including emergency departments, is required based on patient needs. Travelers may be floated to critical care units if they possess critical care experience. Every other weekend rotation is required.
