Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required. License: Valid compact or state license required. Certifications: BCLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred. Must-Have: - EPIC experience required. - Oncology experience preferred but not required. - Skills in IV starts, telemetry, and tracheostomy management. - Experience in administration of chemotherapy, BiPAP/CPAP management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. - Required to float within units of equivalent or lower levels of acuity. - Previous travel experience preferred. - Required to provide two professional references, including one from a manager or director. Description: Seeking a registered nurse for a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit. The role involves caring for mixed acuity patients, including both PCU and Med-Surg patients. Nurses may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination depending on departmental needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every four weeks but changes are based on staffing priorities and not guaranteed. Daily patient ratios will typically be 1:5. Candidates must possess experience within the last three years, with at least one year of current specialty experience for clinical pass. The facility includes interdisciplinary support services like physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Special procedures required include tracheostomy care, drain management, and focus on infection prevention protocols. Candidates must meet urgent credentialing requirements, including fingerprinting and compliance standards prior to contract signing.
