Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required. License: RN State License and/or Compact State Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: EPIC experience preferred. Previous travel experience preferred. Description: The Registered Nurse will work in a Med/Surg/Telemetry setting. The nurse may be required to float to units of similar or lower acuity as needed. Responsibilities include providing patient care for adult and geriatric populations. The nurse will manage care for patients with various diagnoses including joint replacements, fractures, post-op neurosurgery, stroke, and medical-surgical conditions. Skills required include accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, and wound care. The nurse will monitor telemetry and manage IVs, PCA, and feeding tubes. The role requires adherence to isolation precautions and monitoring of vital signs. Team collaboration with interdisciplinary support services is essential. The nurse will engage in patient education and support throughout their care journey. Physical demands include the ability to lift and move patients safely. The work environment includes working on a general medical/surgical unit with a focus on trauma and post-operative care.
