Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in MS/Tele within the last year License: Pending License OK (Must be active and in hand prior to start) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: MS/Tele experience Description: Looking for a registered nurse with a PCU/MS/Tele skillset due to high acuity patient population. This role involves working in a long-term acute care setting where patients remain highly acute. The facility cares for a range of patients, including those who are medically stable to those who are intubated or requiring ventilatory support. Patients may include individuals recovering from open heart surgery, individuals with cystic fibrosis, those undergoing vent weaning, and patients with pulmonary fibrosis. There is a high volume of sepsis patients, typically resulting from wounds. Registered nurses may be required to float due to the higher acuity of the patients. The patient-to-nurse ratio will be approximately 1:5. Candidates should have experience in antiarrhythmics, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, and complex wound care. Additional skills such as blood glucose monitoring, isolation precautions, and NG tube management are also relevant. Interdisciplinary support is provided through various services, including physical therapy and respiratory services. The patient population typically consists of adults with serious complex health conditions requiring specialized treatment and long-term acute care.
