The role involves caring for adult patients with musculoskeletal infections and trauma. You will be part of a team responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:4-5. The schedule includes weekdays and some weekends. Float requirements within units of equivalent or lower acuity may be expected. Nursing responsibilities include the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. You will be providing non-invasive airway management and peripheral line care. Familiarity with isolation precautions and rapid response teams is necessary. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Common procedures may involve treatment with specific wound care equipment. The unit consists of 27 beds dedicated to surgical and musculoskeletal care. Candidates should be aware of the urgent fingerprinting process required for compliance. Two professional references are required, with at least one from a leadership position.
