Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours (23:00 - 07:00) Experience: 1 year of experience required License: NY license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Previous charge experience required Patients ratio experience required Charting system experience required Charting system name: Community Client experience Description: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care. The average daily census is 21 patients with a total of 23 beds. The staffing ratios are 1:10 on all shifts. This position requires floating to different units as needed. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Candidates must have previous charge experience. Travel experience is required. Candidates must possess a BLS certification. The nursing responsibilities include assessment and management of various patient conditions. Skills required include medication administration, wound care, and infection control. Additional tasks include patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Candidates will work with adult and geriatric populations. The unit provides various services, including therapy and social services. This role requires ongoing patient monitoring and the ability to respond to emergency situations. Effective communication skills are essential for patient and family interactions. A commitment to safety and adherence to protocols is essential in this position.
