Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Cardiac experience Description: Float Pool Med-Surg/Telemetry RN for night shifts. Candidate must have cardiac experience. First-time travelers are welcome with 2-3 years of experience. Traveler may work in two different units during a 12-hour shift, depending on unit needs. Every other weekend coverage is required. Documentation system used is Cerner. Patient diagnoses include medical, surgical, and observation units. Special procedures involve working within a float pool. The float pool staff is guided by unit needs during bed meetings. Responsibilities include monitoring patients using a video system that oversees multiple patients. Nurses may need to provide relief for breaks as necessary. Traveling nurses must have experience with either Epic or Cerner. Shift cancellations may occur, and financial responsibilities may apply. On-call hours do not count toward guaranteed hours. Travelers must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Charting experience is preferred. Patient ratios are 1:5. Float pool experience is preferred but not required. Management of dysrhythmias and telemetry experience is a must. Experience with cardiac and insulin drips is required. Additional qualifications may vary based on experience and needs.
