Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• Experience in an acute care hospital, Med/Surg, telemetry, or stepdown setting strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Comfort caring for orthopedic, medical, post-operative, and occasional trauma patients
• Ability to manage a demanding workload in a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process from assessment through evaluation
• Monitor telemetry, identify changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
• Administer medications safely and accurately according to nursing standards and hospital protocols
• Care for orthopedic patients including backs, necks, hips, knees, and post-op recovery cases
• Manage lines, drains, and devices such as Hemovac, True-close, and JP drains
• Support patients receiving therapies such as Heparin and limited PCA pain management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate effective patient care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families to support recovery, safety, and understanding of care plans
• Promote a calm, compassionate, and patient-centered care experience
• Maintain adherence to infection control, safety, and unit protocols at all times
