Job Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- One reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
- All required certifications must be active and in hand; pending items are not accepted
- Must be able to meet facility compliance requirements, including assessments completed during orientation
- COVID-19 and flu vaccination requirements apply, with exemptions only as allowed by policy
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients in an acute care setting
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry trends, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Complete patient assessments, administer medications, and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team to support patient recovery and continuity of care
- Educate patients and families on care plans, safety, and discharge expectations
- Maintain a calm, organized approach while working in a busy inpatient hospital environment
