Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,140 per week in Rochester, NY

Patient care assistants are available on all units to assist with vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living. The unit provides interdisciplinary support from IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation.

Experience with placing IVs required. Knowledge of dysrhythmias interpretation and management required. Ability to use rapid response teams required. Description: Registered Nurses in this role will work in a Med-Surg/Tele unit. Night ratios are expected to be between 6-7 patients to 1 nurse, with a potential stretch to 8-10 if staffing issues arise. Skills required include peripheral line care and management, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management. Additional responsibilities include isolation precautions and effective communication with rapid response teams. RNs will need strong skills in patient management and care in a cardiac patient population. Experience with electronic charting systems, specifically Epic, is preferred. Travelers may be required to float within the scope to meet unit needs. Flexibility for block scheduling is preferred, though not guaranteed. No locals within a 75-mile radius will be accepted. RTO restrictions apply; candidates cannot have more than one week of RTO during the contract.
