The nurse will care for a patient population that spans from Med-Surg to intermediate level of care. Patients may require cardiac drips, insulin drips, heparin drips, and other specialized treatments. The nurse must demonstrate skills in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Knowledge and adherence to protocols for oxygen administration are essential. The nurse will be expected to participate in rapid response teams as necessary. Documentation will be completed using a computerized charting system. The position requires the nurse to provide care with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4-6. The nurse should be willing to float to other units if required. Weekend shifts are required every other week.
