Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Float Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing and telemetry License: Current nursing license required Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS Must-Have: Experience with patient ratios of 6:1 or better iCare system experience Ability to float to multiple units Description: The position is for a medical surgical/telemetry float nurse. The nurse will provide care to patients in a variety of units, including medical and surgical. This role will require the nurse to manage a patient ratio typically of 1:6 during night shifts. The nurse must be proficient in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience in trauma care is not required, but familiarity with trauma protocols is beneficial. The role includes floating to areas such as medical, general surgery, neuro, and orthopedics. The nurse will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including therapy and respiratory services. Oncology nursing may involve general care but will not include chemotherapy administration. Candidates should be able to handle a workload that may require you to take appropriate assignments as needed. Must have recent experience within the past year in a relevant specialty area.
