The nurse will be required to float between units based on skill sets. Weekends will be required on an every-other-weekend basis. No on-call duty is required for this assignment. The expected patient ratio is 1:4. It is essential to have a vehicle for this assignment. Floating to other units nearby may occur depending on patient care needs. Special skills required include managing cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring. This role involves administration of blood products and care for surgical drains. Wound care experience, including wound vac management, is also necessary. The facility supports several interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and respiratory services. Additional experience in IV management and phlebotomy is required. The RN will be accountable for patient care in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and adhere to holiday requirements. References from previous employment will be required. Travelers must respond promptly, and communication with interim contacts is discouraged.
