Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry (IMC) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience and active DC RN licensure.

Details

• Position is located in an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit within a hospital setting
• Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract
• Cerner EMR experience is required

Requirements

• Active RN license to practice in Washington, DC — no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience in a US hospital required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• CPI certification is required for this position
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN is highly desired
• Active US Social Security Number required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, including full review of systems, with appropriate documentation
• Delivers age-appropriate, competent care by applying knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan
• Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• All certifications submitted must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
