Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in telemetry and remote monitoring. - Experience with feeding tube care and management. - Skills in accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, and peripheral line care/management. - Proficiency in starting IVs and managing PICC lines. - Knowledge of CVA and nasal cannula care. - Familiarity with isolation precautions and wound care. Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry care. The nurse will work the night shift three times a week. The role requires a focus on a diverse inpatient population with multiple comorbidities. Specialized care for stroke patients will be a key responsibility. The nurse will be expected to perform remote telemetry monitoring. Candidates must have experience with patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6. The role includes potential float requirements. All nurses must pass a mandatory EKG exam. Compliance with scheduling is crucial, including adherence to policies regarding tardiness and unexcused absences. Upcoming vacations or commitments must be disclosed prior to application. The candidate should be prepared to care for adults and geriatric patients.
