Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in MS/TELE License: Current state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS and BLS required Must-Have: Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. Candidates must have completed at least one travel assignment. Description: The registered nurse will provide care for adult patients on the MS/Tele unit. The role requires managing a patient ratio of 1:5-6 during shifts. Weekends are required, with 6 shifts to be worked in a 6-week period. The ideal candidate will have experience with adult medical telemetry patients only. Travelers are not expected to care for pediatric patients. Duties include but are not limited to: - Accurately interpreting and managing dysrhythmias. - Managing and caring for peripheral and central lines. - Administering blood products and performing assessments for high acuity patients. - Providing pre/post-hemodialysis management. - Utilizing telemetry monitoring for patient care. Interdisciplinary support is available including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The unit accommodates a diverse patient demographic and includes various medical diagnoses. Candidates should be familiar with advanced patient care procedures and equipment. The registered nurse will be part of a robust care team focused on providing high-quality patient care.
