Description:
This position requires a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry specialty.
The role involves working primarily with adult and geriatric patient populations.
Nurses will care for patients with various conditions, including respiratory issues, general medical-surgical diagnoses, and surgical observation.
Responsibility includes managing observation patients, end-of-life care, psychiatric observation, and complications related to diabetes.
Nurses must be flexible with scheduling and adhere to a strict policy regarding tardiness and unexcused absences.
Travelers may be required to float across different facilities as needed.
The nurse-patient ratio is typically 6:1.
Candidates should be familiar with BiPAP/CPAP management and blood product administration.
The role also involves interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of telemetry.
A strong focus on wound care, IV management, and rapid response situations is essential.
Compliance with all necessary requirements prior to the start of the contract is mandatory.
All candidates must pass an EKG exam during onboarding with a limit of two attempts.
