Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year recent experience in specialty License: Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or compact license Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross Must-Have: - Minimum of 1 year recent experience in telemetry nursing - Ability to float to other units as required - Strong communication and patient care skills - Experience with a variety of medical conditions Description: This position involves providing care to patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit. The unit focuses on cardiac telemetry, with nurses managing a patient ratio of 1:6. You will care for patients experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, and various cardiac arrhythmias. Additionally, care will be provided to medical patients with pneumonia, gastrointestinal issues, COPD, diabetes, and occasional strokes. Candidates should be prepared to deliver patient-centered care to support recovery and optimal patient outcomes. The ability to work collaboratively with nursing and ancillary staff is essential. Patients require dedicated nursing attention throughout their stay.
