Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Cardiac Tele and Nephrology Med/Surg License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS-AHA and NIHSS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Ability to pass EKG testing before the start date - Prior experience in Cardiac Tele and Nephrology Med/Surg Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse with experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to adult and geriatric patients. The unit typically sees a daily census of 16 patients. You must be able to manage a patient ratio of 1:7-8. Floating to other units or hospitals may be required based on staffing needs. Weekend shifts will be required, typically every other weekend or two per month. Travelers will not be accommodated for time off during major holidays. The nurse must possess skills in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure is essential. Candidates must provide proof of residency upon acceptance. All certifications must be current and not expire within 45 days of the start date.
