Unit Information:
o Beds: 36
Census? Average patients/day? Client = 33 currently
o Minimum Years of Experience required? 1 year
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? No
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o General Med/Surg & Floor LOC post-operative patients.
o CBI and mirror 7South
o Bariatric; hips; trauma surgical; bucks traction
Patient Ratios:
o RN: 1:6
o LPN (if applicable): 1:6
o CNA: 1:9-12
Required Licensure & Certifications:
o BLS, ACLS, NIHSS – Resource Team requirements
Skills required:
o General care of the medical/surgical patient
o CBI and mirror 7 South
Support within the Department:
o CNA? Duties? Duties as assigned, within the scope of the CNA; General ADLs, vital signs, ambulation/mobility, assistance with feeding, blood sugars and other duties as assigned within the scope of the CNA.
o Receptionist/HUC? 7am-7:30pm, yes- 7pm-0730am, no.

o Sister units of 7N and 7S – All med-surg with same ratio/expectations.
Orientation (facility and unit):
o NEO: Yes- facility
o 2 days departmental: yes, unit.
Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: every other
o No call
o Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
o RTO: Resource Team approval
o Shift times: 0700-1930 or 1900-0730
o Schedule cycle: Every 6 weeks
