Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid State License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Previous charge experience. Experience with a patient ratio of 1:4. Charting system experience required. Telemetry experience is preferred. Experience with neuro stepdown, TIA, stroke, and neurosurgical patients is preferred. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Neuro Telemetry. This position will require floating between various units when necessary. Weekend shifts are required—6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks. The expected patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4 during day shifts. The unit cares for patients with a variety of neurological conditions, including TIA, stroke, and post-neurosurgical care. Nurses will need to manage dysrhythmias and utilize rapid response and code teams effectively. Candidates should be proficient in non-invasive airway management and isolation precautions. Interdisciplinary support will be provided, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Candidates must demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration with patients and families for optimal outcomes. High-level teamwork is essential, and dedicated mentorship will be available for new caregivers. Candidates are expected to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays. Proficiency in electronic health record systems is required. The unit operates in a fast-paced environment, and nurses will play a significant role in patient assessments and interventions.
