Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Must hold a valid compact nursing license Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Experience in orthopedic trauma, post-operative care management, blood administration, and wound vac management Description: Travel experience required. The position will float between units. On-call is not required. Weekends are required according to scheduling needs. Block schedules are not required. Expected patient ratios are 1:5-6. Special requirements include orthopedic trauma post-operative care management, blood administration, and wound vac management. This facility is a short-term acute care center with a total of 379 staffed beds. It operates as a Level II Trauma Center. The dress code for licensed nursing personnel consists of solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire. Print tops are not acceptable attire except in specific units. Facility does not accept Nursys or background check hits. Travel staff will be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. If required for the assignment, communication devices will be provided at no cost to staff. Staff should refrain from reaching out to facility contacts directly unless for an agreed-upon interview. Modules must be completed pre-start and annually. Time spent on modules is self-reported.
