We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) with Telemetry, Medical-Surgical, and Critical Care experience for a contract assignment at a leading academic medical center in New York City. This opportunity is open to both local and travel nurses.

The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients requiring telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, and medical-surgical nursing while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical patients.
  • Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition.
  • Care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring and ventilator support.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
  • Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Active New York State RN License
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification (Required)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry and Critical Care experience
  • Medical-Surgical nursing experience required
  • Ventilator management experience required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred for travel candidates (not required for local candidates)
Education
  • BSN preferred
  • Associate Degree in Nursing accepted with relevant experience or active enrollment in a BSN program
