The facility consists of 874 licensed beds and includes a Level I Trauma unit. It is a teaching hospital with designations for Chest Pain and Stroke Centers. Safe ratios for patient care are maintained. The unit houses 24 beds with patient ratios of 1:5-6. Common patient types include those with sepsis, respiratory illnesses, GI disorders, infections, liver failure, AKI/CKD, home vents, and trachs. Resource team members will be considered for first-time travelers but are not preferred. Support within the department includes varying CNA ratios, charge nurses, and 24/7 specialists in Hospitalist and Intensivist roles. Telemetry monitoring is conducted by nursing staff without a dedicated tech. Traveling may be required within the region and will be compensated accordingly. Weekend rotations will occur every other week, and travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays. Requests for time off may be approved up to 6 days, excluding holidays. Travelers are expected to maintain flexibility in their scheduling and responsibilities. Scrub color is navy. Free parking is available.
