Description:
Registered Nurse needed for MedSurg/Tele unit.
The facility holds a Level 1 Trauma designation and is a teaching hospital.
The unit has 29 beds with patient ratios of RN: 1:5-6 and CNA: 1:9-10.
Patient types include general medicine, diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, respiratory conditions, renal disorders, and wound care.
Nurses will be responsible for lab draws and performing dressing changes.
Strong teamwork and patient-centered care are foundational to the unit culture.
Support staff includes CNAs, a charge nurse, and a receptionist.
Telemetry monitoring is centralized, and the unit has access to a Rapid Response Team, Respiratory Therapy, Clientists, and Intensivists available 24/7.
Technology includes an electronic medical record system and advanced medication dispensing systems.
Candidates should have a solid background in managing telemetry and critical patient needs.
First-time travelers may be considered based on experience.
