Description:
This position is for a Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse.
The shift pattern for this role is three 12-hour daytime shifts per week.
Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6.
The position requires every other weekend availability.
Floating within the scope of practice may be required.
The facility prefers candidates with at least two years of relevant experience.
First-time travelers are accepted for this position.
Candidates must hold a valid South Carolina RN license or compact license.
Certifications required include BLS and ACLS.
NIH certification is preferred but not mandatory.
The unit provides care primarily for adult and geriatric populations.
Common diagnoses include diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, seizures, cerebrovascular accidents, transient ischemic attacks, and chronic respiratory disorders.
Skills required include cardiac telemetry, IV management, and dysrhythmia interpretation among others.
Successful candidates will have experience with high-flow nasal cannula, post cardiac catheterization care, and renal failure management.
Interdisciplinary support is available from various specialties including physical therapy and respiratory services.
