RN Med Surg / Telemetry – Nights
Location: Arizona (Floating to Mesa as needed)
Pay: $2000/week
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW)
Duration: 13 Weeks (extension possible)

Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Med Surg/Telemetry RN with strong clinical fundamentals and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. This role requires flexibility to float between facilities and confidence in cardiac monitoring.
Required Qualifications- Active RN License (AZ or Compact)
- BLS & ACLS Certification – Required
- Minimum 1–2 years of Med Surg/Tele experience
- Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills (exam required)
- Driver’s License required at submission
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care for Med Surg and Telemetry patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Manage post-surgical patients (e.g., appendectomy, cholecystectomy)
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care planning
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR
- Float to sister facility in Mesa as needed
Work Environment- Unit: 16-bed Med Surg/Telemetry
- Patient population: Post-surgical, general Med Surg, Telemetry
- Telemetry monitoring available
- RT support 24/7; Pharmacy support (remote after 6 PM)
- No IV team – RN autonomy required
Schedule & Requirements- 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a)
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation (A/B schedule)
- Floating required to sister facility (Mesa)
- Orientation: 2 days
Important Notes- Must pass dysrhythmia exam (≥80%) within 2 attempts prior to contract
- Sim Lab (Pass/Fail) required on Day 1 of orientation
- Radius Rule: 50 miles (no recent employment with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity within 1 year)
