Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Milledgeville, Georgia.
Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $1800
$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg/Tele
Job Details:
• 12-hour shifts available on day shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) or night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Weekend rotation required: 5-6 weekend shifts out of every 12 shifts on a 6-week schedule cycle
• No on-call requirements
• Holiday expectations: work one shift of each major holiday (Thanksgiving Day or day after, 12/24 or 12/25, and 12/31 or 1/1)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Tele experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Patient ratio of 1:4-6 for RN
• Care for patients with acute or chronic disease, post-op surgeries, and common co-morbidities including diabetes, hypertension, infections, CHF, and electrolyte imbalances
• Required skills include trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, Glucommander, insulin drips, heparin drips, and drips titrated to HR
• IV insertion and care, central line management, wound care, and post-op monitoring required
• Cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation required
• Care coordination with interdisciplinary teams and discharge planning required
• Float to all adult med surg/telemetry units in house as needed
• EMR: EPIC; IV Pump: Alaris; Med Dispensing: Omnicell; Monitors: Philips
• Equipment includes VS3 vital sign monitors, portable vital signs monitors (Dynamap), bladder scanners, portable oxygen system, Glucommander, PCA pain management, and suction machine
• Active RN License (GA) required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) required
• ACLS preferred but not required
• Medical-surgical national certification preferred but not required
• Scrub color: Navy for RN
Facility:
This facility is a 140-licensed-bed hospital with a Level 3 Trauma Designation. The Med Surg/Tele unit operates with 24 beds and maintains a full census. The unit is supported by CNAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and intensivists available 24/7, as well as a Central Telemetry Unit for monitoring. The facility fosters a busy but team-oriented unit culture with free parking available on site.
