Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years License: Must hold a valid nursing license. Certifications: Must have BLS and ACLS certifications. Must-Have: Experience in MS/Telemetry nursing. Ability to interpret dysrhythmias. Experience with telemetry monitoring. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical and Telemetry. The nurse will work night shifts, specifically three 12-hour shifts each week. Ratios are approximately 1 nurse to 5-6 patients during shifts. The nurse will be required to work every other weekend. Floating within scope to meet facility needs may be required. The unit is a new facility building from the ground up. It currently has 10 beds opened and is still expanding. The staffing on each shift includes 2 RNs and 1 tech. There is no off-shift management scheduled, but leadership is available through phone contact. A house supervisor is available 24/7. Weekend shifts are non-negotiable. Preference will be given to candidates with community hospital experience. Previous tele experience and understanding of cardiac telemetry are highly desired. All candidates must comply with facility requirements regarding time off requests. Travelers should be aware of emergency response team assignments during hurricane season. The facility prioritizes candidates with a valid nursing license in hand. Candidates with pending licenses may be considered if documentation is provided. All required documentation and labs must be completed prior to the start date. The environment provides interdisciplinary support from various healthcare professionals. It primarily serves adult and geriatric patient populations. A variety of common medical conditions are treated within this unit. The successful candidate will be engaging in critical care aspects.
