The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. No on-call duties are required. The unit consists of 30 beds with a staffing ratio of 1 nurse for every 5 patients. There are a total of 60 staff members on the unit, including registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, and patient care technicians. Key equipment utilized in the unit includes vital sign monitors, computer on wheels, Hoyer lifts, PCA pumps, and telehealth solutions. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Typical procedures performed on the unit include NIH stroke assessments, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care. The ideal candidate should be team-oriented and self-motivated.
