Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Monday - Thursday Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience required; will consider candidates with 1 year of experience if proficient in all specialties offered. License: Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Experience circulating common case types, comfortable learning pre-op and PACU, ability to monitor patients on cardiac monitors, experience with EMRs. Description: An immediate start is needed. Interviews will be conducted directly with management. The facility features 3 operating room suites and 1 GI endoscopy room. Average cases performed per day are approximately 8-10. Case types include general surgeries like gallbladders and appendectomies, orthopedic procedures, podiatry, gynecology, obstetrics, endoscopy, and urology. There are no robotics, high-level traumas, or neuro cases performed. Experience is required in circulating the specified case types. Candidates should be comfortable learning pre-operative duties and recovery processes. RNs will be responsible for monitoring patients post-case and interpreting cardiac rhythms as necessary. Surgical Technicians must be skilled in scrubbing the identified case types. Support on the unit consists of supervisors and CRNAs. There are no transporters or housekeeping support available. Familiarity with Cerner EMR is highly preferred; candidates must be comfortable learning new EMR systems. IV Pumps: Alaris; Med Dispensing: Pyxis. Call requirements include 4-8 shifts per month and 1 weekend of call each month. On-call team members should have a 20-minute response time. Guests housing is available for call team members if needed. Holiday expectations may include on-call duty for major holidays. Scrub color is surgical scrubs provided by the facility.
