Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Lebanon, New Hampshire. This position involves working on a fast-paced adult surgical unit primarily caring for trauma and acute care surgical patients. The role requires experience in managing a variety of complex clinical situations, including trauma, post-surgical care, and telemetry. The unit operates on rotating shifts, with the opportunity to contribute to a busy and supportive environment focused on patient rehabilitation and recovery.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid New Hampshire Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license (proof of state residency required). BLS certification. A minimum of 1.5 years of recent relevant experience involving chest tubes, tubes, drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone, post-surgical lines/tubes/drains, Trachs/Laryngectomies, telemetry, complex wounds, central lines care and blood draws is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience on a fast-paced medical-surgical unit, preferably with Level I Trauma center experience; several years at a Level II Trauma center is acceptable.
  • Additional Information: The unit features two negative pressure rooms capable of serving COVID-19 patients. Care involves managing trauma patients, orthopedic injuries, abdominal surgeries, and related diagnoses. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4 during the day and 1:5 at night for registered nurses, with a 1:12 ratio for licensed practical nurses.
