Job Summary:
The organization is seeking registered nurses (RN) for a medical surgical (MS) unit located in Rockport, Maine. These positions are to fill ongoing staffing needs with a focus on patient-centered care within a general surgical and medical environment, including care for patients with diagnoses such as congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and pneumonia. The role involves night shifts, offering an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative healthcare team in a well-equipped facility.

Job Details:

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical Floor
• Location: 6 Glen Cove Drive, Rockport, Maine
• Shift Schedule: Nights, 0645 PM - 1915 PM, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Openings: 1 position
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS; PALS preferred but not mandatory
• Education & Experience: Valid nursing license; minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred
• Unit Information:
  • Number of beds: 45
  • Patient ratios: 1:5 on days, 1:6 on nights
  • Equipment includes Plum pumps, Pyxis, Ascom phones, bladder scanner, EKG machine, Phillips cardiac monitor
  • EMR system: EPIC
• Required Skills: Patient-focused, organized, BLS, ACLS, IV skills, telemetry monitoring, thorough documentation
• Preferred Qualifications: PALS certification is a bonus but not required, experience with orthopedic, general surgery, and urology cases; top diagnoses include CHF, COPD, PNA
• Personality Fit: Positive, professional, team player
• Dress Code: Scrubs in any color without prints; shoes must be enclosed and in good repair, no hoodies or crocs with holes
