Opportunity:
RN - MedSurg
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour day/night variable shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Post Surgical Care Unit providing pre and post-surgical care for adult and geriatric patients on a 40-bed inpatient unit
• Nurse to patient ratio: day/PM 1:4 or 1:5, nights 1:5 to 1:7
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week and average length of stay of 2-3 days
• Must have ability to multitask, prioritize patient care based on acuity, and work as a team
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Epic charting experience required
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted

This facility is a full-service hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and surgical services, including a dedicated Post Surgical Care Unit that supports pre and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients. The unit operates at a high occupancy rate and is supported by modern medical technology and a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The facility maintains a Level II Trauma designation, reflecting its commitment to providing comprehensive and high-acuity patient care.
