Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) registered nurse position located in Lincoln, NE. The role involves providing patient care in a 42-bed acute care setting with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7, supported by a virtual nurse at a 1:30 ratio. The position requires adherence to a dyad model with a CNA and virtual support, focusing on medical, surgical, and orthopedic patient populations. The shift schedule includes 12-hour nights beginning at 6:30 PM, with an anticipated minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic charting system EPIC; prior experience in acute care settings preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have a valid driver's license, as it will be used to determine distance from the facility. Fingernail policy prohibits artificial nails for staff providing patient care. The role includes responsibilities for supporting patient care in a fast-paced environment, collaborating within a dyad model, and working with telemedicine support. Orientation begins with classroom training followed by two 12-hour shifts on the unit. The facility operates under a protocol that allows cancellation of up to four shifts per assignment.
