Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical (MedSurg) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a critical access hospital located in Medford, Wisconsin. This role involves providing patient care on a shared ICU and Medical Surgical unit, requiring candidates to bring their nursing license on the first day. The position offers an opportunity to work 12-hour variable shifts with a travel duration of 13 weeks.

Job Details:

  • Location: Medford, WI
  • Schedule: 12-hour variable shifts, with every other weekend and holiday
  • Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA (American Heart Association) or ARC (American Red Cross), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), Associate Degree or Certificate, minimum 2+ years of experience, experience in Emergency Department (ED) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) very helpful, ability to read tele strips, and Epic charting experience preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Float: Occasional float to other departments or locations such as Merrill, Wausau, Stanley, and Langlade. Floats are only to assist with non-patient load tasks like vital checks.
  • Additional Information: Must adhere to vaccination policy during Flu Season; declined vaccination requires wearing a mask. Travelers may be placed on call during low census hours with at least a minimum of 2 hours call back pay. Contract length is 13 weeks with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The contractor must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
