Job Summary
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) in Scranton, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit, focusing on EKG, IV insertion, medication administration, Foley insertion, vital signs, assessment documentation, assisting with RSI, and conducting point-of-care testing such as blood glucose. The position is scheduled for nights with a duration of 13 weeks, starting August 31, 2026.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: 1-2+ years Medical Surgical (MS) experience, BLS, ALCS, NIHSS certifications, and active license in Pennsylvania
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic medical records, experience in fast-paced medical-surgical environments
  • Additional Information:
    • Position requires floating to other units as needed
    • 48-hour guarantees are not available
    • Scrub color required: navy blue
    • Number of beds in unit: 30
    • Patient ratio: 1:6
    • The scope of role includes EKG, IV insertion, medication administration, Foley insertion, vital signs, assessment documentation, assisting with RSI, and point-of-care testing (blood glucose)
