Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse is needed for a healthcare facility in Charleston, South Carolina. This position involves providing high-quality patient care on a 30-bed unit with a team nursing approach. The role includes working every other weekend and rotating holidays, with scheduled nights. The nurse will be integral to patient safety and comfort, including performing hourly safety rounds and bedside shift reports.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications; ideally 0 years of experience; South Carolina licensure or eligible for licensure; must work night shifts as scheduled
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Medical Surgical nursing preferred
  • Float: Float to similar units as needed to support hospital operations
  • Additional Information: Procedures performed on unit include standard medical-surgical interventions. Unit policies and guidelines are available upon request. Candidate should be comfortable with performing hourly safety rounds and bedside shift reports, and demonstrate excellent patient care skills.
