Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Floor Nurse is based at a healthcare facility in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves providing compassionate and collaborative patient care on a medical-surgical unit. The position requires a dedicated professional able to work the night shift and adhere to unit policies and guidelines.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretation.
- Preferred Qualifications: Meditech electronic medical record experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to other med surg departments with 24-bed and 12-bed units.
- Additional Information: The unit has 12 beds with a staff of 12, including two RNs and one patient care technician (PCT) during night shifts. Patient ratios are approximately 6:1. The team operates with no specific equipment but emphasizes a compassionate, motivated, and collaborative personality fit. Candidates should arrive on time for huddles at 6:45 PM or 6:45 AM. Schedule is managed through the Timpani platform, and weekend and on-call duties every other weekend are required.
