Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) nursing is needed for a facility in Fort Worth, Texas. This position involves providing patient care on a general medical-surgical floor within a busy healthcare environment. The role requires a professional committed to teamwork and patient safety, with responsibilities tailored to the unit's clinical standards.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN); experience with Meditech electronic medical record system; ability to work night shifts and adhere to unit attire and policies.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Spine and/or Orthopedic nursing; previous experience on a Medical Surgical unit; strong teamwork skills.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The unit features 30 beds, with patient ratios approximately 1:5. Typical procedures include total knee and hip surgeries, spinal fusions, cranial procedures, and shunt revisions. The unit uses spine and orthopedic braces and maintains a focus on collaborative patient care.
