About the Position
Job Summary:
The RN Supervisor supports the Director of Nursing in delivering efficient and effective nursing care, ensuring positive clinical outcomes, and promoting patient, family, and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, guide, and oversee the clinical operations of nursing units during the assigned shift, ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate the implementation of care delivery models and clinical processes, while mentoring and supporting nursing staff.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain appropriate staffing levels, ensuring safe, high-quality, 24/7 nursing coverage while minimizing overtime and reliance on agency staff.
- Participate in recruitment efforts, new hire onboarding, and orientation programs.
- Provide input and recommendations regarding employee performance, including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Must hold a current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State Board of Nursing.
