Position Description
A Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to patients in healthcare facilities on temporary travel assignments. The RN is responsible for assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing care plans, administering treatments and medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Travel RNs work in various clinical settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, long-term care facilities, and specialty units based on staffing needs and assignment requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies
- Monitor patient conditions and vital signs
- Coordinate care with physicians and healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care when needed
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards
- Supervise and support LPNs, CNAs, and other healthcare staff
- Maintain infection control and patient safety practices
