Summary A Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Care (LTC) provides nursing care to residents in long-term care facilities, nursing homes, assisted living communities, and rehabilitation centers. The focus is on maintaining residents' health, managing chronic conditions, and improving quality of life.     Key Responsibilities
  • Assess residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed.
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns to physicians.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
  • Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), nursing assistants, and other care staff.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Educate residents and family members about health conditions and care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection-control standards, and facility policies.
